A Mighty Fortress is our God" is our 2011 theme, celebrating 60 years of National Day of Prayer observances in our Nation. This theme is expressed by the psalmist in Psalm 91: "I will say to the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust" (91:2).

Shirley Dobson and her Task Force have trusted God for 20 years of serving our nation, encouraging Americans to continue praying to God in whom they trust.

We invite Lancaster countians to pray for one another on May 4 during Youth Edition, and on May 5 during the Prayer Celebration with Anne Graham Lotz, the oldest daughter of Dr. Billy and Ruth Graham and this year's honorary speaker.

Our nation welcomes the prayers of its people. It is a stirring sight to see thousands gather from different denominations and local churches, assembled to pray in one accord and believe together for unity as well as "God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10).

Our Lancaster County Task Force looks forward to seeing our community gathering together to pray at Lancaster Bible College campus. Come out and be a part of all our events.
