Formerly
known as Houses of Prayer, these gatherings consist of churches,
community public buildings and breakfast restaurants around
the county opening up their doors for prayer. Here is the current
list of events:
Prayerfully
Consider Organizing Your Own Community
Prayer Gathering!
We invite
you to consider working with others in your community to gather
believers for a Community Prayer Gathering to pray specifically
for your community, its leaders, its schools, its congregations
and more. A Community Prayer Gathering can be a great expression
of the heart of Jesus in John 17:21 as believers gather together
to pray!
The
Lancaster County National Day of Prayer Task Force will make
it easy for you and support your effort by:
- Advertising
your location and its start time (can be either Wednesday
or Thursday)
- Providing
you with ideas on how to structure your event
- Giving
you a prayer outline similar to the one used for the evening
Celebration of Prayer at Long’s Park
- Helping
you with suggestions on how to lead people through each prayer
section
- Offering
ideas on how you can incorporate worship if you are able
For more
information or to register your event, email Doug Myer dmyer@wdac.com.
Include your name, the name of your church or business where
the event will be held, the location’s address, your
phone number, your email address, and your ideas for the gathering.
Doug Myer will be contacting you upon the receipt of your sign
up.
