The Lancaster National Day of Prayer Task Force warmly welcomes Bible teacher and author Beth Moore to our Celebration of Prayer!

Beth Moore was born on an Army base in Green Bay, Wisconsin, during what her father describes as the worst thunderstorm the city had seen in five years. He affectionately says the Lord brought her into the world with a drum roll.  At the age of 18, Beth sensed God calling her to work for Him. Although she couldn’t imagine what that would mean, she made it her goal to say yes to whatever He asked. Beth graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a degree in political science. She would later receive an honorary doctorate in humanities from Howard Payne University.

Beth has written numerous books and Bible studies, including Breaking Free, Believing God, and The Patriarchs, that have been read by women of all ages, races, and denominations. God has graciously given Beth the opportunity to serve the body of Christ in many different countries, including Ireland, England, Singapore, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, India, Angola, Kenya, and South Africa. With great joy, she began a radio ministry in 2004 called Living Proof with Beth Moore. Each Wednesday, Beth can be seen teaching Bible study on the television program “Life Today with James and Betty Robison.” Beth attends Houston’s First Baptist Church, where she hosts an interdenominational Tuesday-night Bible study for women.  Beth and Keith praise God for nearly 30 years of marriage. Both of their daughters, Amanda and Melissa, serve on staff at Living Proof.

The Lancaster National Day of Prayer Task Force warmly welcomes worship leader Travis Cottrell to our Celebration of Prayer!  Originally from Boone, N.C., Travis graduated from Belmont University in 1992 with a degree in Church Music. He has had the honor of singing with a long list of Christian artists, including Amy Grant, Mercy Me, Steven Curtis Chapman, Vince Gill, CeCe Winans and Steve Green. He most recently completed a Dove-nominated worship musical in partnership with the Max Lucado release, 3:16. Currently, Travis serves as worship leader for the Living Poof Live conferences with Beth Moore. His latest solo project, Ring the Bells, was recorded with the London Symphony and released October 2009 to rave reviews. Travis and his wife, Angela, have been married for 14 years, and have 3 children.

In addition, we are excited to announce that local Lancaster County worship leaders will lead us into the presence of God as we glorify His name along with the 100 Voice Community Choir, directed by Amy Fennimore.
